How Christmas Memories Inspires Food Photography

Christmas. It delights; it warms and creates the coziest feelings deep inside us. Families gather, traditions increase the love and the annual bustle is magical for a time. Christmas is about togetherness. The feeling of being in a charming village with cozy houses stacked along snowy streets. I remember as a child gazing out of my mom’s car window on Christmas Eve, admiring the twinkling Christmas lights on our neighbor’s house and dreaming about Santa’s coming.

As a kid on Christmas morning, I used to stay up as late as possible in the hopes I’d see Santa. Looking back, I vividly remember the feeling of anticipation as I sat on the couch. And I’ll never forget seeing the cookies I had left the night before, half-eaten on the table.

From these childhood memories, I feel incredibly inspired and focused on creating beautiful photographs and evoking those same feelings in my clients. And looking beyond their initial needs to create work that they will be proud of and will want to share with their clients for years to come.

 

I’m incredibly grateful for where I am today and couldn’t have gotten here without the support of my clients.
